Neighborhoods

Allegheny West – The smallest neighborhood in Pittsburgh was once home to many of Pittsburgh and Allegheny’s millionaires during the 19th Century. Now, Allegheny West is a historic district home to Allegheny West Community College and a business district along Western Avenue.

Deutschtown – Also known as Allegheny East, Deutschtown is a historic district with businesses running along East Ohio Boulevard.

Manchester – You can learn more about Manchester and its history on the website of the Manchester Historic Society.

Mexican War Streets – A historic district planned following General William Robinson, Jr.’s return from the Mexican-American War in 1848. Once scheduled for demolition, the neighborhood is home to numerous places of historical significance and still pays homage to the battles and generals of the wars via its street names.

PNC Park – Home to the Pittsburgh’s Major League Baseball team, the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Heinz Field – Home to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the National Football League’s Winner of the XL and XLIII Super Bowls.

The Andy Warhol Museum – A museum dedicated to Andy Warhol, one of the most influential American artists of the 20th Century.
